Today, on World Day of Social Justice, we at Delta Capita reaffirm our commitment to building a more equitable and just world. This goes beyond financial services and extends to the communities we serve, both locally and globally. We believe that true progress comes from empowering individuals and fostering opportunities for positive change.
That's why we're proud to partner with REACH! Siem Reap, a Cambodian organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and families. Their work aligns perfectly with Delta Capita's values of acting responsibly, collaborating for better outcomes, and being a change agent.
Through our partnership, we're directly supporting two impactful programs:
1. REACH Role Model Club: This program empowers young students in their 5th year at REACH by equipping them with leadership skills, ethics training, and practical experience through volunteering opportunities. By participating in the REACH Repair Shop and Garden, they learn valuable skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and environmental awareness, all while contributing to their community.
2. REACH Repair Shop: This initiative provides vocational training for young people. The shop repairs bicycles and other essential equipment to ensure that REACH families are mobile, that guardians can travel to work and importantly, their children can attend school. It also promotes environmental responsibility by extending the life of used items and reducing waste.
Beyond Sponsorship: Celebrating Ride to REACH
Delta Capita's commitment to REACH! extends far beyond the programmes we sponsor. Our incredible colleagues consistently go above and beyond, exemplifying our values in action.
This year, Ian Tosh, Managing Consultant, embarked on the grueling "Ride to REACH" challenge, cycling an impressive 650km to raise vital funds for the organisation. Ian's dedication exemplifies the spirit of World Day of Social Justice – individual action contributing to collective progress.
Through Ian's remarkable challenge and the ongoing dedication of our team, Delta Capita is truly invested in empowering the youth of Siem Reap and building a brighter future for all.
World Day of Social Justice serves as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in creating a more equitable world. By supporting organizations like REACH! Siem Reap and their innovative programs, we can empower individuals, build resilient communities, and drive positive change that lasts.
