At the recent SRP Europe Conference 2020 held in London 28-30th Jan at the final session with the Regulators, the ESMA representative present gave a strong indication of the desire to move away from the ‘one fits all’ approach to the PRIIPs regulation that has caused such a backlash from the industry. The change is due to be published in the upcoming PRIIPs update of Level 2 technical standards at the end of March 2020 and may apply to both performance scenarios and cost disclosure tables.
