The Role and Responsibilities
- You will work with our clients on multiple disciplines and projects supporting our client’s data programmes from strategy through to enhanced analytics and delivery of data programmes.
- You will be passionate about data and its place at the centre of our client businesses
- You will have a forward-thinking approach to data and analytics but be considerate of the heritage environments some of our tier 1 clients currently have.
- You will be committed to shaping and delivering complex data transformation projects from advising on strategy, data’s place in driving decision making such as predictive analytics, machine learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence) and working across data programmes.
- You will be committed to utilising proprietary technology such as our ecosystem NLP (Natural Language Processing) tooling to solve client problems.
Skills and Experience
As an experienced Consultant, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Managing critical data elements for regulatory reporting (data definition, data lineage, data quality monitoring, data quality incident management)
- Implementing sound data management practices
- Design of enterprise data architecture and enterprise logical data models
- Programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Spark
- Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Power BI (Business Intelligence) or Tableau
- Data engineering tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, SQL
- Experience of analytics and being able to review and present insights in large data sets formed of complex data, including with software such as Alteryx or DI (Document Intelligence).
- Data quality and/or regulation experience on relevant regulations such as GDPR
- Client engagement and stakeholder management experience and the ability to form and nurture advisor relationships with clients.
It would be great if you:
- Strong presentation skills, experience writing successful project proposals
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Prior consulting experience
- Data covers a wide array of business functions and competencies varying from strategy and enterprise data architecture to implementing sound data management practices all the way to coding predictive data models and creating data insights and business dashboards. - Project and change management experience and the ability to both shape and deliver data programmes

Within our Data team we are looking for Data Engineers (Senior Consultant , Managing Consultant and Principal Consultant) to work as part of our growing data practice. The Role and Responsibilities
- Work on hard problems with smart people

- Work with new technology, focus on using the right tool for the job, rather than any sticky preference for a tool or technology
- Learn and share knowledge across our engineering teams, so we can continue to iterate and improve
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code as needed
- Design and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant database systems
- Work on implementation of data pipelines/data warehouses/data marts/ODSs/Lakehouses
- Collaborate and work on integration of data storage solutions
- Focus on performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation
Skills and Experience
As an experienced Consultant, you will have:
- Extensive data engineering experience– preferably in consulting or financial services
- Success working within 1 of the following Data Engineering/Management technology areas, including but not limited to:
- Experience with ETL tools (Talend, DataStage, Matillion, Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc)
- Experience developing ETL Data Pipelines and Data Model solutions for integrating new data sets into a data platform from different sources.
- Experience implementing enterprise systems
- Experience designing data lakes, data warehouses and data marts
- Experience developing real time ETL solutions (Kafka, Kinesis, etc)
- Strong knowledge of RDBS systems (Oracle preferred)
- Cloud Data Platforms across Azure and/or AWS (Synapse, Redshift, etc.)
- Strong data modelling skills
- Experience writing and supporting Python code, Spark, Scala, R
- Experience developing complex SQL queries
- PL/SQL development experience with enterprise software systems
- Experience developing Shell scripts and Python programs to automate tasks
- Knowledge of BI Solutions (MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, etc.)

Training and Program Overview:
- The Delta Capita Graduate Program is an overarching development plan that will include classroom/online training and on-site coaching to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills, understanding and confidence to kick start your career in consulting.
- Initially, upon joining you will work through an intensive three-week training plan in a group which will involve classroom and online training to develop your consulting core skills and promote a sense of collaborative working and community amongst your peers.
- Once you have completed the initial training, we encourage our graduates to put their learnings into practice on client site and you will be given the opportunity to work on a real-life engagement, directly with a client.
