Golden Circle & Town Hall
Lindsay Jones – Why do we do it? Simon Sinek, ethnographer and author of “Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action”, suggests that the vision of a business is what influences customers and clients; “why do we do what we do”? The “what” and the “how” are important, but secondary and rational. The concept Simon developed is known as the Golden Circle (see graphic).
Delta Capita’s vision is what makes us unique-not our propositions. We are often asked by potential customers, who our competitors are? I believe the answer to this is “there is no one like us, our vision is unique”. Rather than being a competitor to other companies, we should be our own competitor so we can grow stronger and become one of the influential players in the market.
I’m thrilled to be writing this post, in our first UK newsletter. It has been a year of “firsts” and record breaking for Delta Capita, with the trends continuing into 2018.
We are excited to announce that we will be holding our first “Town Hall” on Fri 15th December. This will be hosted by our CEO Joe Channer, who will provide an update on business performance and strategy. We will also be using the opportunity to discuss our ‘DNA’ as an organisation, getting input from all actual and virtual attendees on what working here means to us, the culture and what makes us unique. In addition there will be updates from all the regional heads and business lines.
This is a fantastic opportunity to look back at what we have done this year and how we have achieved our successes; but more importantly, to look forward and commit to a shared vision for the year ahead. Please ensure that you can attend-we need your contributions to assist Delta Capita in moving forward-and to help us answer the all-important question “why do we do it?”.
I look forward to seeing you all there-and coming together in continuing to make Delta Capita a great place to work.
